As the State Member for Redcliffe, I am thrilled to share some exciting news that will have a lasting positive impact on our community. Redcliffe is currently witnessing the construction of 100 new social and affordable homes, representing a step towards addressing housing challenges and ensuring a brighter future for our residents.

The 100 homes are split across two developments:

  1. An 82 home development on Sutton Street which is being delivered by community housing provider, Brisbane Housing Company (BHC).

  2. An 18 home development on Portwood Street which is being delivered by community housing provider, the Building and Resource Industry Charitable Foundation (BRIC).

These projects will provide much-needed housing opportunities for those in need, fostering inclusivity and social well-being. This is only possible thanks to the Palaszczuk Government’s Housing Investment Fund (HIF)

By working together with organisations such as BRIC and BHC, we can address the housing challenges faced by many in our community. These partnerships not only contribute to the success of these projects but also strengthen the sense of community and collective responsibility in Redcliffe.

The construction of these new social and affordable homes represents a milestone in our ongoing commitment to supporting the housing needs of Redcliffe residents. It demonstrates our dedication to creating a community where everyone has a place to call home, regardless of their circumstances. The positive impact of these homes will be felt for generations to come, fostering a sense of security, stability, and hope.
